Puget Sound Business Journal Gets The Word Out
USArchive & Imaging Services (USAIS) is a company on the move according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The Seattle area’s leading business weekly featured USAIS in an article with front page exposure in its September 24, 2004 issue.

PSBJ staff writer Eric Engleman  highlighted the challenges and successes USAIS has faced since its founding in May, 2003.

“I was highly gratified by the positive nature of the article,” said company President Mick Plath, who spent several hours with Engleman and his photographer. “Eric was very interested in every facet of our business and we tried to provide him with what he needed. I was more than a little impressed by how he well he summarized the complex nature of the services we provide within the constraints imposed by a relatively short article.” Plath noted that Engleman did extensive research in preparing the article.

“It’s clear he talked to a lot of people,” Plath said. “He quoted Nathan Valderas of King County and John Mancini from AIIM.” AIIM stands for the Association of Information and Image Management, a professional association that helps set standards for the industry.

Plath also said it was good to see some USAIS customers get mentioned in the article, too. “It lends us credibility when you see organizations like King County, Xerox or Car Toys mentioned. But it’s also good for them because, as the article points out, they’ve recognized the hybrid nature of the document management business and they’re doing something about it. Our customers deserve recognition for that,” he said.
